Quick-moving, hard-hitting mystery-thriller novels with lifelike characters and convincing plots are author John G. Bluck’s specialty. He was an Army journalist during the Vietnam War at Ft. Lewis, and later a National Press Photographers Association award-winning crime-news cinematographer at WMAL-TV (now WJLA-TV) in Washington, D.C., in the 1970s.

Afterwards, he joined NASA to write and produce science and space documentaries for TV. He was also a NASA public affairs officer and spokesman. Following his government service, he retired and wrote a dozen books and many short stories. Future technologies often play critical roles in his tales.

His more than thirty-five years of experience covering historic and often dangerous events provide him with “story fuel” that inspires his fiction. In recent years, the Public Safety Writers Association presented him with two book awards and two short story prizes.

In his spare time, Bluck likes to travel and photograph the places he and his wife, Sheryl, visit. These trips to Kentucky; London, England; Yellowstone National Park; and other places provide settings for his novels.
