William Christie was born in Massachusetts.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  He then joined the United States Marine Corps and served as an infantry officer.

After leaving the Marine Corps he began writing.  His first novel, The Warriors of God, was published in January 1992.  He has published nine novels.
