John Shirley is the winner of the Spur Award for his western Gunmetal Mountain  and the Bram Stoker Award for his story collection, Black Butterflies: A Flock on the Dark Side. His novels include BioShock: Rapture, Blood in Sweet River, Suborbital 7, Stormland, the Eclipse cyberpunk trilogy, Cellars, Batman: Dead White, The Brigade, and Borderlands: The Fallen. His new story collection is The Feverish Stars. He was co-scripter of the movie THE CROW, and wrote extensively for television.
