When she isn’t writing, January can often be found tending her greenhouse, growing fresh lettuce and tomatoes year-round despite Canada’s long, bitter winters. Independent by nature, she learned early how to make things from scratch and develop practical skills that foster self-reliance and creativity—lessons that continue to influence both her life and her work.
