Chaos and Justice, Blazer #8
Meet the order within the chaos.
A wave of gun violence hits San Francisco, leaving the city shocked to its core. An Armored car heist foiled by Police. An eruption of gang warfare with the use of military style hardware. And finally, a bloody high school shooting. But the connection to all these crimes is one specific type of weapon being used… and Sergeant Blazer is tasked with tracking down who might be supplying those weapons of war to the city’s underground.
The trail is short on leads and long on obstacles, like the city’s own inherent fear of guns. Innocent victims are blamed for violence when simply defending themselves against the crime wave. Blazer can see that the city government’s token gestures toward cutting that violence may actually jeopardize the case he is building.
Then a federal task force—and an old friend and ally—enter the scene, tracking a load of stolen guns…and one type of weapon in particular. But even as they bring SFPD’s Special Forces into their task force, they seem to be just as in the dark. Who is the mysterious gunrunner selling death to the San Francisco streets? What is the connection to the city’s anarchist protest movement, and America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan? In the end, Blazer must relentlessly pursue a load of hijacked weapons, taken by a criminal mastermind with an eye for creating chaos, and the skills of a military warrior.
